Storyline :
Get ready for a reinvention of gladiatorial combat for the 21st century! Each week, "Robot Combat League" will feature tournament-style battles between eight-feet tall, state-of-the-art humanoid robots controlled by human "robo-jockeys". Hosting the series is Chris Jericho, the wildly popular WWE wrestler and multifaceted performer. The idea of robots in battle has captured the imagination for generations. Now, through ground-breaking engineering, the fusion of a human's fighting spirit with a powerful robotic machine built for destruction has become a reality. This extraordinary new series will feature twelve teams consisting of a fighter (a "robo-jockey") and a robotics engineer (a "robo-tech") from myriad backgrounds including a race car driver, an Olympic athlete, a National Guard helicopter pilot along with a mix of professional fighters and software engineers. Each team is paired with its own unique robot and will fight in a first-of-its kind competition using a high-tech exo-suit that translates their movements to their robot. Each fight consists of three rounds of intense action, with the winning team advancing in the competition.
The robots of the "Robot Combat League" were designed and created by robotics expert Mark Setrakian, a leader in the sport of robotic combat. In his distinguished career, Setrakian has developed life-saving robotic systems, and pioneered cutting-edge creature effects, animatronics and control technology for such films as Men In Black, The Grinch and Hellboy. Brimstone
Steel and leather are the materials of choice for Brimstone. The all-important brain/computer is housed inside a triple-thick hammer-finish dome that is three times tougher and heavier than the armor of any other robot. The gleaming gloves and thug boots are made of the same heavy steel alloy. For speed and agility, his arms and legs are protected by tough leather armor.STRENGTHS: The smooth surfaces of the robot are made to deflect attacks by causing them to glide off the body armor.
WEAKNESSES: Its exposed mid-section allows opponents to open gaps and possibly damage internal mechanisms.
Speed: 10
Strength: 7
Endurance: 6
CREW:
ROBO-JOCKEY: Devonric Johnson
ROBO-TECH: Russell Tait
Commander
From battlefield black-ops to the fighting arena, Commander is the mechanized infantry of the future. This heavy armored trooper is rigged for combat, featuring tank tread feet for extra traction on floors slick with the oil-blood of its opponents. The head pans and tilts on a servo-actuated neck mechanism, and includes a helmet-cam similar to those used by the U.S. military.STRENGTHS: Commander has great overall protection and strength.
WEAKNESSES: Extra armor and pack limits Commander's speed and range of motion.
Speed: 5
Strength: 10
Endurance: 8
CREW:
ROBO-JOCKEY: Jeffrey Fellin

Crash
Crash’s shock-mounted roll cage can absorb high-impact attacks; its armor is lighter, but still offers good protection. Light and fast, this robot is ready for rough action.STRENGTHS: Unique rollcage design and smoked titanium panels reduce the weight of the armor while offering good protection.
WEAKNESSES: Rollcage restricts range of motion, making Crash more prone to attacks.
Speed: 7
Strength: 5
Endurance: 10
CREW:
ROBO-JOCKEY: Amber Shinsel
ROBO-TECH: Dave Shinse
Drone Strike
Based on bleeding-edge military hardware, Drone Strike features stainless steel armor laminated with ballistic nylon in a digital camo pattern. The midsection includes shock suspended armor bands that completely encircle the critical valve and hose assemblies. The large multifunction head/turret pans and tilts, and the barrel weapons are devastating to opponents.STRENGTHS: With a strong center of gravity, Drone Strike has great balance and is extremely difficult to knock around.
WEAKNESSES: Some of the armor features create mobility issues.
Speed: 6
Strength: 9
Endurance: 8
CREW:
ROBO-JOCKEY: Ciji Thornton
ROBO-TECH: Fazlul "Fuzz" Zubair
Game Over
The skin for Game Over is built using steel that has been "stitch"-welded together. In addition, Game Over features a 24" video monitor embedded in the upper torso. The screen is protected by a clear Lexan panel, and the roll bars are steel.STRENGTHS: Heavy armor offers good protection and is designed to allow for an excellent range of motion and good mobility for attack.
WEAKNESSES: Opponents with high degrees of accuracy can attack open gaps and destroy internal mechanisms. "Stitch"-welding is not terribly strong and can be blown open.
Speed: 6
Strength: 9
Endurance: 8
CREW:
ROBO-JOCKEY: Keisha Howard
ROBO-TECH: Annika O'Brien
Medieval
Medieval is made from steel, with chain mail and metal crests. The steel is finished with a distressed, battle-tested look.STRENGTHS: This robot has great overall protection and strength.
WEAKNESSES: Strong, heavy armor limits speed and range of motion.
Speed: 6
Strength: 8
